Privacy policy

Last updated November 2026 · Questions to hello@saintscroll.app

In short

  • SaintScroll keeps your saves, settings and reading place on your device. There is no account and no email.
  • There are no analytics, no ads, no attribution and no tracking of any kind.
  • The one outside service is RevenueCat, which confirms Plus purchases. It receives an anonymous ID, your purchase records and the technical data every network request carries.
  • None of that includes your name, email or payment details.
  • Deleting the app clears everything on your device.

What is stored on your device

  • What you're carrying and how you'd like to be met.
  • The IDs of the cards and the references of the verses you saved.
  • Your reminder settings: on or off, and the times.
  • Your theme, text size and language.
  • Your first name, if you give one. It is used only to greet you in the app and, if you choose, in your reminders.
  • A flag that says you finished onboarding.
  • The cards you have seen today, so they don't repeat.
  • The days you opened the feed, to show your days with the saints.

Nothing else is stored. None of it leaves your device. It is not synced or backed up by the app. After you install SaintScroll, it works without a network connection. Only buying or restoring SaintScroll Plus needs one.

Purchases

SaintScroll Plus is optional. Apple or Google handles the purchase and your payment details; the app never sees them. The app uses RevenueCat to confirm what you have bought. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase records, and the basic technical data that every network request carries: your IP address, your device and operating system type, the app version, and your store country. Privacy laws may treat some of this as personal data. None of it includes your name, your email or your payment details. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications. Your device schedules them. They are not sent from a server. If you start the free week of SaintScroll Plus, the reminder that it is ending is a local notification too.

The sources page has verification links. Opening one opens your browser, outside the app. The sites you visit there have their own privacy policies. Links to TAN Books may carry a referral tag so we can count how often they are used; no personal data is sent. Links to our shop, run by the same people as this app, may carry the same kind of tag.

How long we keep things, and deleting them

What is on your device stays there until you remove it. You can clear your saved cards in Settings, and uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your device.

RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as it needs them to confirm your purchase and to meet legal and accounting duties. Uninstalling the app does not remove them. To have the records tied to your anonymous ID deleted, contact us (see Contact) and we will ask RevenueCat to delete them.

Children

SaintScroll is not aimed at children under 13, or under 16 where the law sets that age. The app has no account. It asks only for a first name, which is optional and stays on your device. If you are a parent and think a child has made a purchase, contact us and we will help.

Your rights

We hold no account or profile about you, so almost everything about you is on your own device, where you can see and delete it yourself. For the purchase records that RevenueCat holds, you have these rights, and you can use them by contacting us.

If you live in a US state with a privacy law, such as California, you can ask to know what is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. We will not treat you differently for asking.

If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can ask for access to your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive a copy of it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Because records are tied to an anonymous ID and not to your name, we may ask for details from your store purchase, such as an order number, to find yours.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in the app is always the current one. If a change is significant, we will say so in the app.

Contact

You can reach us through the support contact on SaintScroll's page in the App Store or Google Play.

Independence

SaintScroll is an independent app. It is not endorsed by the Catholic Church, any diocese, the Vatican, or any religious order.
